Eddie Trunk talks about Alice Cooper and guest on podcast soon

In the beginning of Eddie Trunks Podcast w/ this week 2/25/15 guest Joe Holmes
Eddie talks a bit about opening the Alice Cooper show in Florida.
Eddie talks about how Alice is still going strong and better than ever.
He even mentions of having Alice on his Podcast in a few weeks.

If you are not familiar w/ Eddie's podcast it's a new program he has been doing
for a few months now. Sometimes he has guest come to him other times he'll
take advantage of interviewing them on the phone or when he does an opening
like he did this time w/ Alice Cooper. Eddie didn't say this but I'm pretty sure
he spoke w/ Alice sometime before or after the concert.

So if you listen to the first 10 minutes of the 2/25/15
Joe Holmes interview you will hear the praises by Eddie Trunk
on Alice Cooper. Also the podcasts are very good if you are any type
of a heavy metal or rock fan. You find some interesting stuff about the guest
and Eddie talks about some of the current heavy metal or rock events.

1969, Photographer Ed Caraeff, "Pretties For You" photo shoot

Here are a number of photos taken during the
debut "Pretties For You" album by photographer Ed Caraeff.
I found two of Ed's photos on his site rockpaperphoto.com
the others someone sent to me a while back w/ the word "sample" across the photo.
These are amazing pieces I would like to see more of this photo shoot.
Two of the photos are available at rockpaperphoto.com for $600.
If I had some spare cash I would get one of them.

First is the photo that made it to the back of the Pretties For You album.

It was said that the Alice Cooper Group didn't approve this photo
they had another one in mind but Frank Zappa approved it
 without the band's knowledge.

Following are from Ed Caraeff photo shoot

The following 2 photos are available at

11x14 - $600

This is the official photo of Alice used inside the album.

Hollywood Vampires Rock in Rio

from Blabbermouth

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper will play the Rock In Rio festival in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil this September under the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES banner with a band that includes AEROSMITH's Joe Perry and actor Johnny Depp.
Although the exact date for HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES' performance hasn't yet been announced, the band will make its debut on the same night as QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE and SYSTEM OF A DOWN are scheduled to appear.
The sixth Brazilian edition of Rock In Rio will take place September 18-20 and September 24-27.
Cooper's covers album featuring songs that were originally written and recorded by THE DOORSJimi HendrixJohn Lennon and The Who members of the so-called "Hollywood Vampires" of the early and mid-'70s — is tentatively due this fall. The CD will include "four or five new songs," which the legendary rocker wrote specifically for the new effort. He told VH1 Radio Network's Dave Basner: "We decided that in order to set up the 'Hollywood Vampires' thing, you had to kind of tell the story, and you had to write songs that were going to set up the story, and then get into the covers. So we had fun sitting there writing these new songs around it. So it's going to be quite a package, this thing is."

Also Rolling Stone has an article on the Hollywood Vampires

February 12, 2015, Austin City Limit review

February 12, 2015
LIVE - Austin City Limits, Austin, TX

I was able to watch the concert on TV Pay Per View channel.
This concert is like the Raise The Dead Live In Wacken DVD/CD that was previously released with minor changes.

First was new guitarist Nita Strauss replacing Orianthi. The other is one song change from “Department of Youth” to “Lost In America” a much better song in my opinion.

I notice the camera angels were good but the direction at times I have questions. For example on “He’s Back (Man Behind The Mask)” very quickly you see someone on stage walking up to Alice asking for directions as he points to the other side of the stage. I figured out since the song was in Friday The 13th the girl was a camper holding a map. At first I thought it was a newspaper then it hit me oh a map. But you don’t see her on the stage the camera goes to the guitarists. I was waiting to see if Jason shows up w/ machete I don’t know if he appears or not I have no idea what happens to the lost camper.
On a funnier level during “Ballad of Dwight Fry” Alice’s wife Sheryl plays the nurse usually holds a baby. This time she is holding two babies a little nod to being new Grandparents to twins. Also Alice changes the line in the song from like to see that little children she's only four years old” to “they’re only 12 weeks old” another nod to little Falcon and Riot Cooper.

As for new guitarist Nita Strauss did an amazing solo a few times especially during middle of show after Glen’s drum solo and on “Foxy Lady” she just fits right into the band like she’s been w/ them for years.
In all it was a great show that went by pretty quick.

Band

Very funny t-shirt that Tommy is sporting reads "I'm Not Johnny Depp"

Ryan Roxie one of my favorite guitarist just wish I had more pics on him during this concert

Nurse Sheryl w/ twins Falcon and Riot. Very funny tribute I wonder how many got it.

I thought this was very funny as a fan gets a selfie w/ Tommy playing & grinning on stage
