1972, Posters Real and Fake

As a kid I use to see this poster in magazine ads of Alice w/ the snake draped over him
and always wanting to order it. I forget the reason why I didn't order it.
I think finally when I decided it wasn't in stock.
About 20 years later I purchase it from a SickThing.

1972 Poster 26x39 inches

A year ago I received this following FAKE poster as a Birthday gift.
14x22 inches of PHONY poster

Of course to the normal person they would think it's a legit poster.
I was thankful for the gift and excepted it w/ a chuckle.
To us Alice aficionados we know a phony, a fake, a counterfeit.
Like all bootleggers we see at conventions or online auctions they always place the wrong year
photo w/ the date of performance.
This poster is dated 1972.
This photo was taken during Alice Cooper Raise Your Fist And Yell album 1987.
I have some articles during that time w/ this photo and some w/different poses.

What they really should of done was have the whole band in the shot since in 1972 Alice Cooper was considered a band. Well at least use Alice from 1972 so I came out w/ my own correction below combining the 2 images above.

2002, Boston Rock Opera

Boston Rock Opera Presents:
Aqualung, The 1971 Concept Album By Jethro Tull
VS
Alice Cooper's Outrageous 1973 Album, Billion Dollar Babies

Performed at The Middle East Club in Cambridge, MA w/ local musicians and main attraction Gary Cherone of Extreme. Most of the crowd was there to see Gary Cherone. I was there because I like Aqualung and Billion Dollar Babies album.
What I liked about show they played out each song w/ theatrics. I think Alice would of liked it.
It was a great performance and the bands were excellent.
I wish I had it on video. I did see someone in the front recording the whole show I was very tempted in asking if I can have a copy.

Below is the front & back cover of the playbill

Inside list all the performers and song tracks

There were 2 Billion Dollar Bills
One had Alice Cooper on the front the other Aqualung
The backs were the same listing the performers

1979, Palimony articles

I collected 4 articles during Alice and Cindy Lang's Palimony case. 3 of the articles came from one of the Boston newspapers. Then there is one from People Magazine.

This bottom article came from People issue May 7, 1979. Don't be confused by the "continued" at the bottom of the column. This is the complete Alice/Cindy article. This issue list other celebrities Lawyer Marvin Mitchelson covered in Palimony cases.

I have to say during these times when I see photos of Alice off stage he was one of the worst dressed. Check out this suit! Did he actually look in the mirror & say "yeah this works."
Maybe this is what Cindy means by his "cornball naiveté."

2002, Cinematik, "One Full Moon Away"

Second CD from Cinematik titled "One Full Moon Away" is another project by Neal Smith.
This trio consist of Neal Smith on percussions and drums, Peter Catucci & Robert Mitchell on vocals, guitars and other instruments. This is different sounding than Neal's rock recordings.
It reminds me as being New Age or World Beat style of music. I say similar to Peter Barden "Speed of Light" album.
Mixed w/ instrumental tracks this is artistically done. Some of my favorite tracks are "Hour 28", "Unfrozen" "The Luck" "Hula Yew" and "Murder In The Moon." But don't get me wrong the whole CD is excellent.

I ordered this CD through Neal Smith's website which he autographed and received this little promo.

Front of the promo w/ a little inch fold towards the left side.
Promo is about the size of a CD cover.

When opened it gives you information on the CD and the band.

1997, Pittsburgh, PA

1997 Rock And Roll Carnival Tour in Pittsburgh, PA.

I love this shot. Just the silhouette of Alice w/ the snake over his head makes this an eerie feel.

1997, Columbia, Maryland

A trade in which I received a number of photos from Alice's Rock And Roll Carnival Tour.
This person isn't a professional photographer but he came out w/ some amazing photos.
I'll post his name if he likes but for now I'll leave it as a good SickThing and friend.
I have a collection of 3 States of this tour.
