1987, Creem, Generation Landslide '87

This is more of the history of Alice Cooper w/ a sidebar story of Bob Greene's
book "Billion Dollar Baby" on the bottom pages 34 & 35.
I also notice a lot of the '86, '87 interviews they always mention what happen to
the original band which is covered on page 57.

1987, Two misc., The Nightmare Returns reviews

This first review someone sent me in a trade.
It was from a UK publication but I don't know which one. It was a bad review of
The Nightmare Returns on VHS which this critic didn't seem like an Alice fan.
When I first bought this VHS I played it almost once a week for quite sometime.

This second article isn't much of a review as it's more
of promotional article about the release
of the The Nightmare Returns on VHS.

1987, Misc. issue, Alice Cooper In 1987

Another miscellaneous article titled "Alice Cooper In 1987" that is more like a Q&A.

Pg 22

Pg 23
First column they ask Alice about his project "Welcome To My Nightmare II"
he mentioned in previous interviews. Now states it never developed but
wrote about 30 songs and 10 of them are in "Constrictor".
So it would of gave you an idea how it would have sounded if produced.

1986 Two Misc. articles, Mistress and Ken Ballard

I am not sure about the date but they talk about Alice's snake Mistress leaving the
The Nightmare Returns tour that started in '86 due to sickness.
Also not sure which magazine these articles came from.

Photographer Ken Ballard has a website
Go the Menu "Media Gallery"
to see some cool Alice Cooper photos.

1986, Kerrang!, Alice In Splatterland

Alice Cooper even graces the cover of this 1986 Kerrang! issue November 13-26.
This article includes 4 full size page photos.

Alice talks about a project that his manager Shep Gordon was working on
w/ Stan Lee (Marvel Publisher). It was going to be like 'The Magnificent Seven'
only w/ Heavy Metal. Alice w/ Motley Crue, Def Leppard and more from how it sounded.
Alice even said there were 20 songs involved and Elektra were going to support it.
Unfortunately nothing came of it. Another "I wonder what it was" crosses my mind.

1986 Only Music magazine

I believe this article was released in 1986 since they talk about the Halloween concert
at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.
This was the concert that was later released on VHS and also appeared live on MTV that night.
I don't know if Only Music magazine is even around anymore. I never even heard of it until
I came across this article.

1986(?), Misc. issue, Constrictor Review

This article reviews Alice Cooper's Constrictor and Ratt's Dancing Undercover release.
Both albums are produced by Beau Hill.
Alice's review takes up most of the article as Ratt fills out the last column.

1986-87(?), Misc. article, He's Back

I have no idea which magazine this article came from. I search both sides of the pages
& no hint of any publication.
Could be from 1986 since they are talking about Constrictor album.
I do know there are still some articles in '87 but this sounds like an early one.
By the number of articles I have saved Alice does a lot of promoting of this album.
This is actually his return since Special Forces back in 1981.

It's funny reading these older articles & see what they plan in their future.
Alice says ...He'd also like to try writing a movie script and might
"retire when I'm 50 and get somebody to play Alice-and I could direct."
